For a period of 2 years, I worked closely with the CEO and an international team of Developers in building a personal finance web app with the aim of tackling the most complicated finances in the simplest way possible, using the principles of double-entry bookkeeping and plain text accounting.

Problem

Being the only Designer on the team, I got to wear many hats, such as: onboarding specialist, customer care, brand designer, web designer and developer, user research, product designer, content creator, etc.

Because of the complexity of our goal, it was also required to learn everything I could about bookkeeping, tax laws and other finance-related topics.

Solution

Constant product iterations, based on intuition, user research and feedback.
Developed a full Design System in Figma.
Built multiple versions of website via Webflow, Super.so and more.
Created design prototypes via Figma, Zepelin and Maze.
Helped create roadmaps and manage team tasks.
Wrote and designed User Guides in Notion and Loom.
Tinkered with React and helped update design-related code in production database via Git.
Market research.
Designed UI and marketing material for pivot products.
